There are no formal talks and absolutely no pressure to join any cause or take any action - although once find out more you might want to!
Our regulars do all kinds of activities like organising Repair Cafes and Clothes Swap shops, taking part in Citizen Science projects like river health monitoring, working on climate change mitigation and adaption, tree planting, doing nature cleanups, learning about permaculture, or becoming NetZero businesses. And so much more. We have lawyers, farmers, gardeners, environmental stewards, animal lovers, council employees, community and health workers, scientists, film makers, writers, artists, financial planners, solar experts, professional speakers, psychologists, sustainabillity consultants and more. We have parents and grandparents and young adults. We welcome people - working or retired - who are newly interested in finding out about all the things that local people are doing to look after our beautiful planet.
So it it's a chance to meet new people, hear about all kinds of climate and environmental projects, organisations and businesses – small and large – and get inspired. And I stress - we welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background in what's widely known as "sustainability" but is so much more than that!
