Coaching Supervision

Working as a coach, facilitator or development practitioner can be hugely rewarding yet also lonely at times, especially if we’re an independent or not working in a close-knit team. Sometimes we need someone to talk to about how it’s going – the good, the bad, the ugly - to bounce ideas off, to understand, to hone our craft, to learn and grow with. We need protected time to think about ethical issues, to learn from mistakes (that we all make in this human relational work), and for developing professionally.

This is where supervision comes in. It’s a collaborative encounter - a place for reflective dialogue that supports people who professionally support others - for the benefit of both the practitioner and their clients.  Supervision doesn’t tell you what to do or what to think – it taps into your own wisdom and helps you to think for yourself. However when supervision is within a group, it takes on a whole new dimension. Whilst still encouraging your independent thinking, you can have others’ combined experiences, perspectives, knowledge and insights to draw upon. These can help you to process, make sense of and thoughtfully apply new learnings.

New: Coaching Supervision Group - starting 17 June 2025

I’m pleased to be offering a new supervision group – read on and if it’s of interest, book a Zoom call with me to discuss if this group could be right for you.

1:1 Supervision

I supervise coaches, coach-therapists, facilitators and OD practitioners, as well as other supervisors.

Many of the people I supervise have clients who are are involved in sustainability work, climate change, biodiversity loss, the environment and social justice. These clients often have specific needs because of the systems of power they face, the resistances they meet and the fact that they confront harsh realities of an uncertain and declining world - which is also your world - on a daily basis.

My approach as a systemic and integrative supervisor is underpinned by the belief is that you are the one with the expertise about your clients and your work; my expertise lies in helping you to access it, by offering a completely non-judgemental, easeful and resourcing place where you can go as far as you can in your thinking. So I create a space where you can truly think for yourself, as yourself, explore what your clients needs from you, and how you can meet those needs safely and skillfully.

Duo Supervision

Are you looking for a fresh approach to supervision from the usual one to one or group? How about you and a peer having supervision together, each bringing your own work for exploration, reflection and CPD, with me as your supervisor?

Duo supervision creates a unique space for reflection where you can gain from each other’s experiences, develop insight, skills, wisdom, confidence, and grow professionally and personally. I will help by lightly facilitating and supervising in a Thinking Environment, offering my perspectives and input when you seek it.

"Linda was my coaching supervisor for five years until I retired. In our sessions I did the best thinking I’d ever done. Through her way of being with me as an equal, I developed a balance of confidence and humility that kept me grounded, open and resourceful with my clients”.  Alex, Executive Coach

CPD events

I regularly run open training events and speak at conferences for coaches, managers and leaders. I know it’s important to you to get real value from any event you attend; you don’t want hype or management speak - you want learning and insight that’s immediately actionable. So that’s what I offer.

You can visit my Time to Think programmes and workshops related to climate and the environment including the “Work that Reconnects” to find out more.

"As I left the session with Linda bound for my everyday world I left with a wonderful feeling of hope, optimism and excitement".  Richard Brown, Thinking Partner, Minds Wide Open
