I'm looking forward to contributing to this. It's free to both members and non-members of Association for Coaching (AC), and it’s online on Tuesday, 21 March 2023 @ 7.00 EST / 12.00 GMT / 13.00 CET / 16.00 GST / 20.00 SGT
As the climate crisis worsens, increasingly more #coaches are looking at ways to respond, discuss and promote sustainable practice. These approaches are increasingly sought after amongst corporations or clients with aligned views or #ESG goals.
The Joint Global Statement Group Roundtables are a unique collaboration between professional bodies, all co-signatories of the Joint Global Statement on Climate Change. Our goal is to extend the reach of coaching and discuss how coaches can mobilise the agenda to introduce and promote discourse around climate change, #ecodiversity and #activism.
We will begin by asking the provocative question:
Should we be thinking the unthinkable?
• When and how does raising awareness extend beyond the client agenda?
• What does it mean to act professionally in challenging times?
• How do coaching and activism sit together?
• What kind of #ethical guidance is needed when #equity and #justice are threatened?
• What other models of #leadership can inform the profession and help us navigate these new worlds?
• Are coaches equipped to support the levels of distress we are now seeing?
The format will be two hours. Starting with a roundtable discussion, we’ll then break-out into discussion groups amongst participants, come back to our panels for further comment, and break out a second time, meaning that debate will be at the heart of our session.
In this webinar you will learn:
• How to explore climate change across the corporate and individual sector
• How to find a balance between the different ethical arguments for and against Climate Coaching
• The truth behind the climate agenda myths that exist in the coaching industry
Who is this webinar for?
New Coach, Seasoned Coach, Executive Coach, Team Coach, Personal or Career Coach, Supervisor or Internal Coach. Participants will be invited to take part in break-out groups.
